ICAP@London: Improving Aphasia Rehabilitation After Stroke

City St George’s and UCL are running a randomised controlled trial of an Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Programme (ICAP) for people with aphasia after stroke. ICAPs are intensive rehabilitation programmes that bring together speech and language therapy, communication practice, education, and peer support over a concentrated period of time.

This research aims to evaluate whether an ICAP can improve communication, participation, and quality of life for people living with aphasia.

Recruitment is currently via GP or healthcare professional – see flyer.
